PROMETEO at SolarPACES 2022

On 22 September 2022, ENEA – the Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development – participated in the Conference SolarPACES that took place in Albuquerque, New Mexico (USA).

The Project Coordinator, Alberto Giaconia (ENEA), presented the project PROMETEO in the session “Solar Fuels”. The presentation “Solar hydrogen production using high-temperature solid oxide electrolysis driven by solar heat and power: the project PROMETEO” can be found in the publication section.

The event has been a great occasion to speak with the scientific community of the opportunities and contents of the technology developed in the project, for the production of solar hydrogen.

SolarPACES (Solar Power and Chemical Energy Systems) is an international cooperative network managed under the umbrella of the International Energy Agency, and brings together teams of national experts from around the world to focus on the development and marketing of concentrating solar power systems.

Since 1980, this network organises the above-mentioned conference which is the foremost symposium for the who’s who in concentrating solar power and chemical energy systems.
